First and foremost please allow me to thank you for all of your past support during the two campaigns that brought a new direction and a higher standard of leadership to your new Congressional Office. As you can imagine, it has been my tremendous honor to be a part of the change that we fought so hard for. I have been deeply honored to report that each and every day I am given the opportunity to do the things that I said I would.

In the first 30 days, we passed programs like the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which makes equality in the work place a matter of common sense as well as common law; I voted for the Equal Pay Law that brings pay equality to the work place for all; I also voted for the expansion to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) which will help us cut the number of uninsured children in New York by 66%! I voted to bring higher standards of reporting accountability to the already failed Bush Bank bailout and I am fighting for all of us with the stimulus bill that will help stop the economic spiral to the bottom. None of these votes would have been made if you had not found the resources to help us build our team.
