We Are Veterans!

We are United States military veterans. We each did our duty, often making significant personal sacrifices to protect this country. Then we returned to our homes and families in the 29th Congressional District. But George Bush and his allies in Congress have let us down. National security was compromised. Local jobs were shipped out of the country. Too much money went to tax cuts for the already wealthy, while workers' wages stagnated. Many veterans, including some with combat-related injuries, can no longer get the health care they urgently need. Other VA benefits have been eroded. Forty-five million Americans have no medical insurance. We call for a higher standard of leadership in Washington. Eric Massa is a fellow veteran. He and the Band of Brothers will restore integrity, service and accountability to government. Their military experience can help keep America -- and the world -- secure. We invite you to join us in this campaign. Vote for Eric Massa in 2008.

Blog For Eric

Join the Massa Blog Team!

Spend tons of time online? Want someone to support and encourage your endevaour? Are you addicted to blogs and news sites? We have something for you, and its not a support group - Join the Massa Blog Team! Eric is one of the first Netroots-endorsed candidates and is an active member in the community of local and national blogs. Our goal to help our Blog Team become involved in maximizing our online presence, and to serve as an active part of our online communities. We love to have volunteers involved in posting and commenting on our blog, and on the local blogs in our district. We also need volunteers to recommend and promote Eric across the Internet, and to stand up for the issues important in our race. Joining our Blog Team requires both a passionate knowledge of the issues, and the patience to be a part of a demanding, but equally exciting, conversation about how to fix the problems in our country. Here's how to get involved:

1. Visit and comment in the 29th District's Local Blogs.

Represent the values and ideas important to all of us involved in the campaign. Some of the blogs active in our district include:
Rochester Turning
The Fighting 29th

2. Follow the news on National Political Blogs.

Read Eric's Weekly Sunday diary, and if you like it, recommend it and post a comment! More often than not, Eric sticks around after posting a diary and responds to user comments, so this is a great chance to talk to the candidate one-on-one. Visit national blogs like, Daily Kos and MyDD, and keep your eye's open for posts from Eric!

Write a Letter to the Editor

Have Your Voice Heard

The Letters page is typically one of the best read sections of a newspaper. People are always interested to hear what their neighbors think, so this is a great way to be heard, share your support for Eric, or explain how the decisions being made in Washington are affecting you, your family and your friends.

Tips for Writing Excellent Letters to the Editor

  1. Adhere to guidelines." Each paper has its own individual restrictions on length and method of submission. Make sure you check the paper's letters guidelines. Many papers will not consider letters that do not conform.
  2. Make it locally relevant. Papers may be more likely to publish letters that have a local angle and that address an issue recently reported by the paper. It may help to reference a recent article; a list of recent relevent articles in local papers is available here.
  3. Personalize it. Don't send a form letter. Personalize your letter and use an example of how the issue directly affects you and your neighbors.
  4. Send us a copy. We want to hear about your success. If you see your letter published, send us a copy by e-mail or by mail.
