Victory
From the Corning Leader

Corning, N.Y. -
Officially, he's Congressman-elect Eric Massa.

More than two weeks after the general election, Massa, D-Corning, declared victory Friday in the race for the 29th Congressional District seat.

U.S. Rep. John R. "Randy" Kuhl Jr. conceded the race shortly after Massa's announcement.

"It's my honor and I stand before you deeply humbled to accept victory as your next congressman in the 29th Congressional District, in the 111th Congress," Massa said. "It was a close election."

Massa DOES NOT support free health care for illegal aliens

Don't believe the false negative attack ads running, Eric Massa DOES NOT support giving free health care to illegal aliens.

The truth is that Washington has failed to fix America's broken immigration system and hard working New Yorkers are paying the price. Washington needs to enforce our immigration laws and hold employers accountable when they break them. We must secure the borders and make sure that illegal immigrants aren't rewarded for breaking the law. That means absolutely no blanket amnesty, no driver's licenses, and no benefits for illegal immigrants.

We've had enough of politicians who send our jobs overseas, support trade agreements that encourage illegal immigration, and fail to enforce immigration laws. While Washington politicians are focused on divisive partisan rhetoric, more jobs are lost in New York. We need to put partisan politics aside to do what's right for New York by dealing with this critical security and economic issue.
