Massa DOES NOT support free health care for illegal aliens
Nov 25
Don't believe the false negative attack ads running, Eric Massa DOES NOT support giving free health care to illegal aliens.

The truth is that Washington has failed to fix America's broken immigration system and hard working New Yorkers are paying the price. Washington needs to enforce our immigration laws and hold employers accountable when they break them. We must secure the borders and make sure that illegal immigrants aren't rewarded for breaking the law. That means absolutely no blanket amnesty, no driver's licenses, and no benefits for illegal immigrants.

We've had enough of politicians who send our jobs overseas, support trade agreements that encourage illegal immigration, and fail to enforce immigration laws. While Washington politicians are focused on divisive partisan rhetoric, more jobs are lost in New York. We need to put partisan politics aside to do what's right for New York by dealing with this critical security and economic issue.

ERIC MASSA VISITS THE GREENWOOD TOWN HALL
Grassroots takes Root!
Oct 29
from Bloomberg.com
Oct. 29 (Bloomberg) -- After speaking with a dozen voters in a supporter's living room, Democrat Eric Massa walks up to nurse Sarah Bullard and shakes her hand. ``I'm not going to let go until you give $50 for my congressional campaign,'' he says to laughter, before handing out donation envelopes.

Massa is collecting a lot of checks in his upstate New York congressional district. He's held 250 house parties and raised $1.8 million, $500,000 more than two-term Republican Representative Randy Kuhl. That, plus an infusion of cash by the Democratic Party, has helped turn an area that last elected a Democrat in 1984 into a toss-up this year.

Massa is one of 18 Democrats who are out-raising their opponents in competitive races for 40 seats in the House of Representatives now held by Republicans. That has fanned the party's hopes it can expand its 36-seat majority and control the agenda on everything from taxes to carbon emissions.

``These candidates got a very early start,'' said Representative Chris Van Hollen, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. ``The momentum has grown.''

Eric Massa issues his comprehensive plan to create jobs!

On Wednesday, retired Navy Commander Eric Massa issued his comprehensive plan to create and sustain good jobs right here in Western New York. You can read it by clicking on the link below.

"American families are feeling the pain as jobs continue to be outsourced, benefits continue to be slashed, and pensions continue to be cut. It's no coincidence that businesses are exporting our jobs in mass numbers to low wage countries. The bottom line is that priorities in Congress are upside-down. The Bush-Kuhl administration continues to give away billions in tax breaks to multi-millionaires and Big Oil, all at the expense of working American families. What Americans really need is a Congress that will fight for their best interests, not the corporate special interests. We need a sane, healthy approach to economic development in Western New York and I won't stop until American families have the real answers to these very real economic problems."

"I believe that each and every individual in this great Nation deserves access to the best and most affordable college or vocational education available. A good education should not be luxury; it should be a right and an opportunity afforded to all. By creating and maintaining an educated workforce, we will attract good paying jobs with solid benefits to Western New York and ensure that America is always on the cutting edge."
A Message to our Netroots Friends and Supporters
July 14
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Netroots Community,

Eric Massa here at the keyboard. I am writing today to thank all of you for your past and continued support as we work to build a stronger majority in the House of Representatives. In 2006 and 2007, I was honored to meet with all of you at the YearlyKos conventions in Las Vegas and Chicago. We exchanged stories, discussed policy, and came together over our common goal of making this nation a better place to live and work. This year, as I continue in our challenge to defeat the final Bush rubberstamp left in Western New York, I was faced with a tough dilemma regarding my attendance to Netroots Nation in Austin.

I was hoping to attend and again visit with all of you next weekend, but I've been invited to meet with the leaders of 20 local labor unions in the Southern Tier of New York. This is by far the biggest labor gathering in this crucial region of our district, and their grassroots support will likely be the difference between winning and losing in November. Although we tried, it simply was not an option to move this event.

I am disappointed that I will miss seeing all of you this year, but I'm sure all of you will understand that I must do what is necessary to win this campaign to end George Bush's legacy in Congress.

Thank you for your thoughts, your support and your commitment to the people of this country.
